Help with OnMouseOver problem please.

I'm still finding my feet with javascript and have a problem I can't get around.
I have a imagemap with several onmouseovers on it,each mouseover gives the option of clicking and being taken to that page. But what I want is a small textbox with a short description to appear when the mouseover takes place, giving the user the option to click or go to another part of the image,the text box content changes with each seperate part of the imagemap.
Please can anyone help with this.
