Hello,
just wated to say I am new to the whole avaya system. yet I have (never being trained) set up a entire Avaya R8 phone system by myself. so my questions may seem a little confusing. I am wondering if there is a way to set the amount of rings for the intercom before it transfers to the voicemail of that extension. I am using a PACS R8.0 12E. using a Large voice mail PC card. working at extension 11. alot of the time the CEO doesn't want to answer her extension and prefers for us just to leave a voicemail. however the number of rings for the intercom to go to voicemail is to long for her. is there a way to change it without changing my number of rings for incomming calls?

thanks,
Tyen

PS. I really appreciate all past posts they help me alot more than Avaya manual...

in system programming option #321 sets the number of rings for the Vociemail cover per extension

I enjoy every moment of it :)

VMS cover rings sets all rings going to Voice mail doesn't it? that would change intercom and incomming call rings to her extension>

YES' both incoming and ext's are set under#321, it's set for the ext doesn't care about what type of call it is!

Aside from that your big kahuna can just push DND when in do not answer mode. Let the little fishies stew I suppose ;)
