I’m so confused on NEAX SMDR. I am working on a NEAX 2400 IPX. 1st I have no formal training on NEC PBX, but have certs on everything Fujitsu, Nortel, and CISCO Call Manager.

I have a customer that was having trouble with SMDR. I re-programed for PORT 1 (was on port 3) and all I see on port 1 is internal (station to station) calls when using procomm to monitor that port… The manual seems really confusing. Please send me in the right direction…

Try NEC.COM and look up training courses. Whilst I would like to help, this can get very in depth. Are stations allowed, Are trunks allowed, In both are individual extensions allowed and for which tennants. If it was a small system I could point you to a cheat sheet. However on the IPX, I have never seen one. Hopefully you will get a reply with one as it would be handy to have. But as I have been working on them for about 20 years now (including it's predecessors) including a number of years with the company. I don't think a cheat sheet exists. Someone please prove me wrong!

OzzieGeorge,

Thanks for the encouragement... Should be something simple I hope.. Got my fingers crossed that someone will see this and point me in the right direction...

What are your current settings? maybe I can compare my settings to yours.

chinolee112,

Thank you so much for your time. I am not on site at the moment and will not be on site until 08/02 (I'm about 120 miles away right now). BUT I will post whatever you request.

If you can let me know what settings you are interested in I will post those settings.. If not I can guess...

Try command asfc for activating station to station calls...I think it's around index 58, so you will need to turn it on for the class of service of the phones that you want internal smdr on.

jkmullins007,

Many thanks, for your time... I will look into the command ASFC -- maybe there is a index for turning on outgoing trunk SMDR somewhere in there...

Thanks,

TT
