I have a problem with XP.
I installed a Logitech mouseman when I first purchased my new computer.
It did not function the way it was mean't to, so I went to update driver from Logitech and that did not work either.
So I deleted Logitech driver and rebooted.
When coming back on XP had found new hardware, and reinstalled it again. After uninstalling each time the same kept of happening. Now I have a yellow circle with a
dash. When I checked the hardware it says error code 12.
I have searched everywhere for Help but have had no luck, so If someone can help please do so. It did say I have more than one driver installed but how can I find and have the right one.

you could try rolling back the driver in your device manager. That worked for me once

System Restore comes to mind, if rolling back the driver doesn't work. However if your Logitech mouse is attached it will again be discovered as new hardware. Have you still got your original mouse?

Alternatively you can wade through these sites and see if there is any help to be had there.

Thanks pyro and linney,
I did roll back and yes it still has problem.
But linney I will take your advice, I do still have logitech mouse still attached to my computer. I will put the old one back on and see if this fixed my problem.
I will get back to you and let you know.[smile2]

Hiya,
Thanks linney, it is all working well changing back to old mouse.
But not for to long can't handle this old mouse to much longer.
Any suggestions on a good mouse to use with XP Home?
Well at least the problem has gone. [bigsmile]
TY.

hi auswoman-

i've been using mouseman cordless optical with my xp home system for over 6 months without any problems (except for its insatiable appetite for batteries). are you disconnecting the mouse before you reboot? i think xp is recognizing new hardware and installing a generic driver for your mouseman, which may explain why it's not working as it's meant to. just a thought. good luck.

Hi bigjeff314159,

I have an older mouseman that I used with older Pentium computer using 98.
I purchased a P4 few months ago and thats when I installed the mouseman.
It is over 4-5 years old anyway.
Thanks for your comments anyway, but I will stick with this older mouse till I get some idea which one to buy.
But thanks for the batteryproblem you have with your's, I was thinking of buying that same mouse, but wandering about the battery issue.
So thankyou bigjeff and yes I did disconnect before rebooting. AusWoman.2thumbsup
