Help with Microsoft Outlook Calendar Macro

Does anyone know how to create a macro that would count the number of appointments in a month in Outlook 2003? I have looked for this feature in Outlook and was unable to find a way to count appointments. I figured it might be possible to do this with a macro. I have searched the internet and was unable to find any examples. Any help or suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated!!
