There is one computer in our building that won't allow me to setup a Microsoft Exchange e-mail account in Outlook. When I set the default store to the user's Mailbox on the Exchange server, I get the following error:

"The specified default store could not be opened. Please make sure you can access your default store and try again."

The funny thing is that I can set this user's account up on another computer and it works fine, so I believe everything on the Exchange Server is set up correctly. I also added this user to the Administrators group on both the local machine and the Domain and it hasn't helped.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is it able to resolve the server name and mailbox name when you go through the profile setup process? joegz

yes, when i enter in the server name and check the account name everything is fine. It is just when I select Mailbox - User is when I get the error.

It is very annoying :(
