Has anyone ever seen this error before and can maybe provide a little help with it:

Fact does not exist at a level that can support the requested analysis error # -2147212800

this occurs when attempting to execute a report (after the prompts). We are currently in process , adding a few tables, metrics/facts to our project to accomodate changes to the system. when i try to run a report that references my new metrics it generates this error.

thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

Try to extend the fact entry level.
Go to the schema object and open the editor for the fact used in your report. Go to the extensions tab and click 'new'. After the first page mark 'extend the fact entry level'. The wizard will guide you to the end.

good luck ;)

There are other ways too,
1) for example if you are not going to perform any mathematical calculations using your metric define them as attributes. This will solve your error.

2) The metric throws the error because of an Attribute or combination of attributes in the report. Try to figure out which attribute it is.

Hope this helps

To explain my second point...for example if you have two attributes product and subproduct make sure the subproduct has it's parent and children defined properly. That will most definitely solve the problem
