Help with Max TNT!!!!

I am setting up a MAX TNT. I have it authentication with the Radius server and assigning an ip from the TNT. I can't get connectivity to the outside. I assume it is a simple as routing the ip pool to the default route but the documentation is limited. Any help would be great!

Are your IP pool addresses on the same logical subnet as your TNT? If so then you must have proxy-mode set to Active. This parameter can be found under Ip-interface {{shelf slot port}}.

I am on a different logical subnet. I checked the proxy setting...currently it is off. Maybe I am setting up the pool incorrectly. I also am using the default profiles. Haven't added any

If that's the case then perhaps you need a static route on your router with Internet access. I assume you have users dialing into the TNT then egressing to the Internet via another router. If so then make sure that your Internet router has a static route for your pool IP addresses with the TNT as the gateway for that IP range.

I have a route setup in my switch for the ip pool. I started the pool at 1. Where in the tnt do I tell it what the route for the ip pool is? Other then the default gateway.

The TNT already has a route to the IP pool. You do not need to manually enter a static route of any kind in the TNT. However, you need to make sure your default gateway router has a route. Having a route on the switch is not enough. If it is indeed a switch and not a router it won't help. Your Internet router needs to have the route otherwise it will think your IP pool addresses are out on the Internet somewhere.

To help, what is the IP address range of your pool? What is the IP and mask of your TNT? What is the IP and mask of your Internet router? Am I correct in my previous assumption in that you basically have a TNT for dialup and another Cisco or some other router for Internet access? For example:

Dialup user <--t1--> TNT <--enet--> Gateway Router <--enet/t1--> Internet

I am not concerned with switches or hubs since they are basically dumb and don't really do any routing per se. It is the Gateway router that has the intelligence to know how to route to the IP pools on the TNT.
