Are any of you familiar with the LKA10 cordless headset?

I have one here that was used on a handset with no headset port... It has a handset lifter and whatnot.

Anyway, it hasn't been used for awhile and now someone has dug it out and wants to put it on the main console phone which obviously has a headset port and doesn't need the lifter.

The console phone is already setup with an Avaya Encore Headset (wired) and has on/off buttons programmed for it.

I'd like to just plug the LKA10 into the headset port and use it instead of the Encore... I don't have a manual for the LKA10 anymore. What are the switch/dials for on the back of the unit? Can someone describe for me how it is wired without the handset lifter?

Thanks.

I found several places on line that may be able to help.

Just remember, the DIAL PAD will not work with LEGEND/MAGIX.

Merlinman,

Do you know of any cordless headset that will let you use a dialpad on a Magix?

Yes, of course.

We recently set a customer up with a few CT10, Plantronic wireless headsets, with a Dial Pad.

We implemented it like this:

The CT10 was on its own T&R Extension, with a Cover Button assigned for the MLX in the office.

An incoming call would ring at both places.

The user could answer on the MLX or the CT10.

If he answered on the CT10, he could easily transfer back to the MLX using the FLASH button.

Same way with an out going call. Once he got it completed, he could transfer it to the MLX or Vice Versa.

The customer really liked this.

Thanks for the response. I was thinking of doing exactly that with the CT10 since this customer has an 016 t/r that is barely being used.
