Help with linking two NCP 500

Hi,im a newbie to the site.
Need some help with linking 2 NCP500's via a vpn at remote sites. I have good knowledge of the system but this is my first time with voip. i Just Need a basic out line of the system programing. only need basic communication between the two sytems.
Any help is greatly appreciated

do you have software to program? what country are you in?

yes have unified maintenance console and im in the uk

what do you have for bandwidth ? are you using the same provider on both ends ? do you static ip's @ each ?
do you have a VPN setup between the 2 locaation's? What type of Routers did you buy?

yeh i have a dsp card in both system, the same provider both ends, about 4mb speed at both ends and netgear vpn routers at both ends

There is a bit of setting up so here is the main bits....


first you install a V-ipw16 card in the virtual trunk slot in the virtual shelf.
Then in activation keys change the number of activated ip-gw to 4/4 unless you want some sip trunks then use 2 or 3 any more and you will have to buy more licences

then right click on card and select shelf propertys



in here you set up the number to ip translation and set the lead number for incoming extension call (this is first digit of your extension range)

.In system programming put gateway trunks in to a different trunk group and set extension lead number of other system in other systems, in the number plan and then program extension lead number of other system in tie table and number of digits to follow i.e 2 if using 3 digit number range then tell it what trunk group the ip trunks are set to



Get that much done and you are on the way, any other things just ask.
