Help with installing new terminals 1

Hi All,

I have an IPECS-50B system and I've had to replace a few handsets recently.

The problem is I can't seem to find the "Terminal replacement procedure" directions anywhere. The only reference I can find is in the F&O Manual

"1. If an iPECS Phone requires replacement, the administrator must follow the terminal replacement procedure outlined in section 1 of the iPECS Series Admin & Maintenance Manual."

However I cant find these instructions anywhere.

Is there a quick set of instruction someone can post for me? Or a copy of the Admin & Maintenance Manual which has this section?

The issue I have at the moment is when I install a new terminal, I have to manually change the extension of the old/replaced terminal to something that isn't being used, then go in and manually change all the new settings. Also, I then have a (disconnected) phone in my list of stations, which is using up an IP address which I can't seem to get rid of.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can login to the iPECS and in PGM102 replace the MAC address of the old phone with the MAC address of the new phone.

Remember to click on the STA link. It will able you to change the MAC Address
