Help with IBM Netfinity server!!!

I have acquired an IBM Netfinity 5600 from a dealership. I came with no servRAID cards installed. Whenever I try to boot the server I cant find the SCSI disks. I have went thought this server an everything is plugged in. I am trying to use the on board controller. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does the controller see the drives?

Yes, I think. When I hit ctrl. a I scan and it it gives a timeout error. But it has seen the drives before.

I really just need the SCSI settings.

I want to put Ubuntu server on this box.

Also I was wondering whether I could just use an eide HDD with this server.
