Hello, I am trying to make a line graph that would report the following data.

10% 45
20% 10
30% 3
70% 32
80% 41
90% 43

But on my graph, I want all the labels from 0% to 100%, even if there are no values. The % are groups that I made in the report. Thanks for your help.

The easiest way to do this is with a crosstab. If you can get your values (45, 10 etc) to show up correctly in the crosstab then you are almost home.

You want the %'s to be the columns. In the crosstab wizard select the % field (after you have made it a column)
and the Group Options button will activate. In the crosstab group options, select a sort order of "in specified order". you will get a specified order tab..Place all your percent groups in there you will probably want to "edit" at least one to make sure that the formula it is using is correct. For instance the formula may say x.field = 10 when what you really want is x.field between 0 and 10.

When you have the crosstab complete, create a report based on the crosstab (have the crosstab selected when you go to insert chart). Everything else should work from there.

Hello Lisa, thanks for the quick repsonse !

I agree about the crosstab, but I am looking to display this information in a graph. Can I build a graph specificaly on the cross tab ?

Thanks,

Louis

Hello again Lisa,

Forget about the previous question, I have a problem with the cross tab. Even with a specified order, if I have no values for a certain %, the columm heading do not show.

Thanks,

Louis

Hmmm.. are you sure you are creating the chart off the crosstab? Right click on the crosstab and then choose insert chart.. It should already have some of the data information filled in.

I use this technique to assure that all my stacked % graphs always have 0 on the bottom and 100 on top (otherwise they just show up in the order that the graph first encounters them)
