I had just completed a publication and the file size was about 6meg. I then added a few lines and the size jumped to 29meg. After adding a few more lines in increased to 52meg. It only has 4 pages with 8 pictures
I could be wrong but this doesn't sound like a publisher problem. I sounds like cross-linked files.
Try this: create a bootable floppy and add scandisk.exe. Boot to the floppy and run scandisk. Reboot the computer when scandisk is finished.
Here comes the hard part. If the pub file still reports 6+mb under Windows, delete the file, run scandisk for Windows and then defrag the hard drive. Open publisher and start a new publication.
Make certain that there is no overlapping of objects on the page. Overlapping of objects even slightly, whether graphics or text, causes memory usage to skyrocket in Publisher.
