I have a question and I think Perl or CGI are my best options and I have ZERO experience with either one of them. I have a customer that we have created a web enable database and they will be sending invoices/monthly bills out to ever customer. Every customer will have their own individual invoice and they will all be different. I am running all this on a RH 6.2 server with Informix and Apache. All of that works and we can create an individual file for each customer and we can name the file the same as the email addy with a .txt extension (i.e. foo@bar.com and the file foo@bar.com.txt).
The person that will be creating the monthly invoices needs or what we would like is to create a web page that will have a button he could click on that will email and attach the appropriate file for each customer and do all at one time because their could be many different customers. Does anyone know the script and if it will work what all will I need to set up with Apache to make it work or even if there is a software package that will do it because he will be on a Windows system and we do have Samba setup. Any help is definately appreciated, we looked at Coldfusion but that is a bit over kill because this is all we have left to finish the project and there is not a driver for our version of informix. Any help I thank you in advance. Thanks
