Help with creating trust between Win2k forest and Win2k3 forest

What I did for this was;
1. Created a root hint (root hints tab in DNS) on one of the DNS servers in each domain pointing to the DNS server in the other domain
2. Go to Active Directory Domains and Trusts on a DC in the Windows 2003 domain (much simpler), right click on the domain, and select Properties-->Trusts. Proceed to create the trust.
