The system is a Option 61 PBX, we have DID's from 2 exchanges, lets say 714-111 and 714-222. All the did's for the 714-111 map directly to their extension but the 714-222 did's have a 6 prepended to them to map to their internal extension. For example, 714-111-1234 maps to extension 1234 while 714-222-1234 maps to extension 61234. This all works fine. When calling out, the 714-111-XXXX extension show the correct caller ID, the 714-222-XXXX numbers were showing 714-222-6XXXX for the caller ID. We created a new CLID for these that show the main number for these extensions, 714-222-1000. My question is this, it there any way to strip the prepended 6 from the 5 digit extensions so that the caller ID can show the correct DID?
Thanks

haven't ran into that one. seems the that clid entry for the 5 digit dn would need didn yes but with a two digit leading number for nxx. print your clid tables using all 5's for npa's nxx;s, not being in front of my switch ties my hands.. it can be done

Thanks for the response, this is what we have when I print out the CLID's from LD 21. The numbers have been sanitized. I'm not sure what else you were asking for though.

So the problem is, you cannot use DIDN = yes because your extensions do not match the DID. I think you may be out of luck here, in older releases you could "trick" the system into truncating from the right, but I think that "bug" was fixed. Would be interested to know if anyone has found another way..

Code:
ENTRY 0
  HNTN
  ESA_HLCL
  ESA_INHN NO
  ESA_APDN YES
  HLCL 714111
  DIDN YES
  HLOC
  LSC
  CLASS_FMT DN

if i wanted to use 5 digit dn's and didn yes i would change it to read
Code:
ENTRY 10
  HNTN
  ESA_HLCL
  ESA_INHN NO
  ESA_APDN YES
  HLCL 71411
  DIDN YES
  HLOC
  LSC
  CLASS_FMT DN

then make the 5 digit key 1 scr 77777 10.. that assumes that entry 0 is working for your 4 digit did's.. my digit did's are built a little different.
Code:
ENTRY 5
  HNTN 555
  ESA_HLCL
  ESA_INHN NO
  ESA_APDN YES
  HLCL 777
  DIDN YES
  HLOC
  LSC
  CLASS_FMT DN

so for a 5 digit dn i would delete a single 7 from hlcl

Thanks John, sorry for the slow response.

I tried your solution, but still no good. I tried your entry 5 without one of the "7"'s, that did result in a 10 digit ANI showing to the outside world, just the wrong 10 digits. My delema is that the phones with a 5 digit dn, the last 4 digits map to the DID, so for DN 61234, the DID would be 714-XXX-1234 while the 4 digit DN's are a direct match for the DID, as in 714-YYY-2345 rings on DN 2345. So for the 5 digit DN's I would like to strip on the left most digit when calling out.

Thanks again
Mike

I tried this on KEY 09, here is the TNB
