help with button

upon further reflection, i realized my earlier posting/question might have been too complex. so let me simplify, here is my fla. zipped up.

you will see that i have a swf called up with each button--the swf loads on the right. no problem. test the first top left button, there is no image, but the film on the right loads. the problem is that i want the image to appear on the button. as you notice the one button image was made in flash 2004mx..hence there is a problem in seeing the flash 8 button. how can i put a button image from the film (say 30 frames) into a rollover state of motion. if you go to first frame exporter you will see how this works..here is the flash.

That said, what's the real question here?
Getting some picture in the manjari thumb as with the volvox thumb?

Volvox is not a FLV, right?
