Need some help here as I am not a phone guy, and we don't have much money to spend on this. The hard drive in our NAM V2.1 has died. I'd like to get this running as cheap as possible, from what I have found, getting a new hard drive is a long shot... I may have found a new 4.1 version in town. Would I just be able to swap this unit out for the new one, plug it in and have it work? Will it need configuration, or do they do that automatically? The other equipment is a M0X16, M12X0 and Norstar Plus Modular ICS, all 1997 vintage.

Numbers on the Modular, if it helps...

Thanks guys, appreciate it.

Thanks for the tip on Ebay, I assume this should work?

It says 2ch, does the expansion card make it 4? We can get by with 24 mailboxes for now though. exsmogger, you say I need a Fibre expansion port, but the Flash only takes RJ11 connectors. I assume we already have the Fibre port from the old NAM hooked to the distribution block.

You wrote "just plug it in" so I thought you were still referring to a NAM, in which case either a fiber or copper NAM would work on your system if you have an available fiber expansion port. The Flash uses copper connections like your present NAM.

Yes, the expansion board will make the Flash on eBay a 4-channel.

Awesome, thanks. Think I might order that one then.

I was just reading the manual, it says I need to release the feature codes from our system before installing the Flash. I assume I need to do that first? The box should be arriving in a few hours.

Box arrived, I've got it running and configured. Working on setting up mailboxes now! Thanks for all the help guys, really really appreciate it. Was nice to be able to get running on a tight budget!

Nice job, thanks for update.

I guess I spoke to soon. I've got mailboxes setup, but when you call the number it just rings. Never goes to message. Any ideas? heading home now, so It'll be Monday before I get a chance to poke at it again.

Did you forward the sets in KSU programming to the DN of the Voice Mail?

No, I didn't. Thanks, I'll give that a shot monday!

Ah, that did it. They were forwarded to the old NAM DN. Took me a few minutes to find the setting, but I've changed that and got it working for my set, so we should be good! Just need to hand this off to the office manager to do all the programming for everyone else! Thanks again, appreciated!
