Hi,

My voicemail answers at 6 rings I hear the message then it loops ringing 6 times again, hear the message again and finally you can leave a voice mail. PLEASE HELP!!! I need the VM to pick up after 3 rings and only play message once. I have tried the #506 to change rings but no go. I have tried to re-record VM but it answers the same way. Thank you in advance for your time.

Did you perhaps record the Auto Attendant greeting on Mailbox 10?

Call comes in, Auto Attendant answers, caller does not press anything, call transfers to Ext. 10, Mailbox 10 picks up and the message has been recorded the same.

That sounds right. I do everything from extension 10. We only need one voice mail box. N other employees here use it. I just need it for customer requests after hours and weekend. How can I fix this so there is only one message pick up 3 rings. My boss is furious!

Thank you Touch Tone Tommy!!

At Ext. 10, go into System Programming:
Feature 00
Left Intercom Twice

Then for each line:
#206-7-(2-digit line number)-2
#208-(2-digit line number)-(10 (for Ext. 10))
(When I say "2-digit line number" I mean dial 01 for Line 1, 02 for line 2, etc)

Make sure that Auto VMS Coverage is turned on for your extension:
#310-10-1

Set the number of rings before answering:
#321-10-X

Feature 00 to quit

Hi tommy thank you, I will try that. I am a little confused about the #206 and #208. Do I have to program in both # prompts for all extensions? We only have 10-17 for our extentions. Also, in he right hand upper corner on the screen on my phone (ext 10) it reads 5 x10!
I just noticed this, does it mean anything?

thank again and I look frward to your reply

Tommy,

It now picks up on three rings and only plays outgoing messege once but after message computer says goodbye and you can not leave a VM.

?????

Again, thank you for your help

Log into your mailbox, select option 7, Call Answer Mode. Be sure it is set to "Call Answer Mode", instead of "Answer Only Mode

Thank you so much for your hep Tommy. It all worked out!
All the very best,

Wendy
