Hi
I'm new to report and this forum,so take it easy! :)

I have Crystal report BO 2008 and I'm trying to write a report that is based on 3 tables from an SQL2005 shared (ISP) server.

what I'm try to do without success is!

I want the report to show selected fields from table 1 when I click on a line I want it to expand and show details relating to the line i clicked on, but from table 2 (I can get this to work using a group and putting the information in the header) and below the details from table 2 I wont to show the details from table 3 that relate to the original line. so all of the relevant data from table 2 is grouped together and below that group all of the data from table 3 is shown.

some detail table 1 has a unique key that is linked to both table 2 and 3, this is to ensure that the data shown is only for the selected line.

Not sure I understand your problem.

But I think you might be better using a subreport for the table 3 data, and linking that to a group based on data in table 2

So in main report just link table1 to 2 and remove table 3.

Hi Ian thanks for the reply.

this is what have thus far:

this what I would like to get to:

each colour is from a different sql Table.

I tried a sub report but it repeated all the data for all items and not just the one item selected on in the table.

If subreport repeated then you need to modify your links or review your select expert (in the subreport).
