Hello.

I manage a permit tracking database and use crystal reports. I am creating a report where I want to count the number of permits where the date the permit was issued was in the current year - without including permits from the current month.

So, for example, I would run the report today - which is May 5. I want to count the numbers from Jan, Feb, Mar, and Apr - and not include the numbers from May. My goal is to make this report dynamic, so I can do this again next month.

I tried messing with the yeartodate and currentmonth functions, but I am not getting the desired results. Something like:

issued_date in yeartodate
and
issued_date not in monthtodate

Does any one know of a quick formula that will work?

Thank-you.

Argh. Sorry. My version of crystal is 9.2.2.634.

Try:

issued_date in yeartodate and
issued_date < maximum(lastfullmonth)+1
