I just set up a Compaq Evo P4 1.7 with WIN2K Pro and I get audio with windows media player but I get no system alert sounds. Even when I try to adjust the volume in the system tray, I hear nothing. Even when I go to the Sounds control panel and try to play alert sounds in there I still get nothing. But when I boot up Windows media player and play something through there I get sound. Has this happened to anybody? Let me know. And Thanks!!
