after starting my other computer (the one with all the important files, that's right) [sadeyes] the screen never displays anything and therefor I cannot even get to the bios option screen which I apparently need to get to to get rid of the rest of the computer problems. [upsidedown] >:-<
basically, I can't exersize any control at all. the speakers beep occasionally, pointing at a CPU failure, which at its turn points at a virus. I know all that because I read it yesterday, I do not know a lot about computers.

please help me, type anything even if you're not completely sure. I'm pretty damn desperate already.

A few questions...

When the computer boots, do you hear one beep? And is the hard drive light flashing as if it's working?

I had something similar happen.. Unplug your CPU for 30 minutes from electrical outlet then plug back in and reboot..

Help any? Its supposed to reset the BIOS. anyway it worked for me..

Island custom, the answer to both questions is yes, it seems to work just as it should, only every 15 seconds it does that again, and again, and again untill I cut the power.
JDEO24, thanks. I'll try it as soon as I get someone with me to make sure I don't screw it up and unplug the wrong thing.

well that didn't work, what did work was replacing the video card, so I've got a visual now, only we're not halfway done, I gotta install a different drive as master. gonna do that now...
