Does anyone know what might be causing audible beeping tones to randomly occur on users telephones? Periodically, a user will pick up her phone and hear three or four beeps. During the beeping, the agent answering the phone and the caller on the other end cannot hear one another. The caller, in fact, cannot hear the beeps at all. We are running with a Definity G3csi v11 using 6408 and 6416 phones. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check for warning tones and/or conference tones under Service Observing on page 10 of cha sys fea.

I don't know about all headset options but many people use the HIC cords for headsets on 6416s and there are no batteries in that config.

YEs, the agents are using Plantronics Headsets with a Modular base. I was not aware that the headset bases generated warning tones. But they do require batteries so perhaps that's it. I'll test by replacing the batteries at those stations reported and see if continues.
