Help to provide guide to install patches

Can you help to provide me the guidance to install software and patches in HPUX. FYI, I still new in HPUX.
Your kind help is highly appreciated.

there is more or less just one tool to install software and patches: swinstall
Do you have UNIX Admin experiance? Google for "Rosetta Stone UNIX" to "translate" commands

you get software and patches for the hpux OS in a container called depot; to install this call 'swinstall -s /the/absolute/path/to/the/software.depot'; depending on DISPLAY is set you will ether get a GUI or a textbased version of swinstall. Your next step is to mark the software in the list and run Action->'mark software for installation' and Action->Install. Follow the instructions in the popups.

I suggest to read at least man swinstall or get some more docs about swinstall from

swinstall is one of the essentials of hpux adminsistration
