more info...

The above is a log file from N.N.M (Network Node Manager/Part of HP OpenView).

10.250.20.105 has a test SNMP trap entry pointing to the IP and community string of the NNM server that discovers the network nodes. That would explain why this is the only switch associated with this event entry...I just dont understand exactly what the message is telling me.

Do you have Optivity integrated with NNM ?

"This notification is generated when a speed or duplex mismatch
is detected. Once notification has been sent, further notifications
may be sent, but it is suggested these be at least 5 minutes apart."

If you would like the MIB, please let me know.

Hi all
I have the same problem for the event:

.1.3.6.1.4.1.45.5.2.2.0.1

NNM doesn't recognize it.
Someone can help me where I can dowload that MIb file?

Thanks

Its the BAY-STACK-NOTIFICATIONS-MIB, mine is bsn002.mib
but I think there is a newer bsn003.mib file out.
Trap 1 is bsnConfigurationSavedToNvram

Personally I use Net-SNMP for this kind of thing,
its really handy because you can just throw all of
your MIB files in one directory.

bsnConfigurationSavedToNvram:
"This notification is generated whenever the device
saves its configuration to non-volatile storage.
The system should limit the frequency with which
this notification is generated, as frequent
configuration changes could potentially generate
too many of these notifications. How the frequency
is limitted is an implementation details, but it is
suggested that no more than one notification be
generated per minute.

Nortel MIBs are on their web site, pretend like your downloading microcode for your devices and you'll usually find the MIBs along with their microcode versions.

Thanks anthonyanderberg, Im using Hp Openview NNM to manage my network, my prolem is that I don't find the MIB file you show me.
I tried to searh on Nortel site and on internet but I found nothing.
Can you tell where I can dowload bsn003.mib ?

Thanks again
