Firstly, I apologize if this has been answered in a previous thread. I looked but couldn't find one that addressed my question.
Using CRPro 8.5 I have a report with the group "Dealer" where I summarize loan activity by dealer. I want to be able to group by dealer but sort, within the group, by {@ActiveLoans}, a formula totalling all active loans per dealer. I have tried Hierarchical Grouping but it does not allow me to use {@ActievLoans} in the Parent ID field (The only field where an entry is possible). Have I missed something very simple or can this not be done? Thanks.

Just create another group on {@activeloans}. I am not sure what you were trying to accomplish with hierarchecal grouping. Software Sales, Training, Implementation and Support for Exact Macola, eSynergy, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

Thank you. Like I said: I missed something very simple. The TopN/Sort Group did the trick.
