I am trying to get my happy hours set in micros 3700 and need some help but not trying to pay the huge fee that the closest micros tech charges, can anyone help/educate me, when he did a quick how to it did me no help...Thanks in advance!!
I would be glad to help you w/o the huge fees. Please give be a brief definition of what you have in mind. You can also email me at tim.hull@yahoo.com.
I am a former Micros Employee / 3700 Programmer that now works for a restaurant company that will remain nameless doing their Micros programming. If you still are in need, Id be happy to help for much less than what Micros charges hourly.
1. POS Configurator / Sales / Menu Items Classes
Mark the class that you want to have happy hour prices (for example Beverage)
Then select Price/Totals tab and enable options
Enable prices 2 trough 10
Use sub menu level for prices
This must be done for all the classes to be sure that all the items can be marked correctly without problems !!!
2. System / periods
Add new period called Happy Hour and select start and end time
Select also Active day for this Happy Hour
Do not check serving period
3. Sales / Menu Levels / Auto Menu Levels
Add new 1. Happy Hour
Then select RVC for the Happy Hour
Select Period which you just created Happy Hour
Select Main Level 1 and Sub level 2 (for Example if you want to use price field 4 put Sub level 4)
4. Sales / Menu Items
Select the Item for the Happy Hour go to Price tab and put the new price on field 2
But be careful because this setup of the Happy Hour mean that all other items with regular price at the time of the Happy Hour should have price on the field 2 (the same price as field 1) if they do not have they can not be marked in the checks.
If they want they can switch to Happy Hour manually by pressing the button on the screen to change the sub level for the price. Write to me to explain you how to create this
