Hi I currently have 1 CAS and 1 Mailbox and Hub Transport server. Everything is working good just my OAB and Out of Office is not working. I recently purchased an Unified Cert with autodiscover.riepf.com as one of the subject alternate names. I also use this cert for my OWA which is working. I have imported cert and enabled the correct services. I dont know if my internal and external url's are correct.

This is how my current internal url is setup for autodiscover

When I also perform a test email auto configuration from my workstation I get the following errors:

Autodiscover to FAILED (0x800C8203)
Autodiscover to starting
Autodiscover to FAILED (0x80072F0C)
Local autodiscover for riepf.com starting
Local autodiscover for riepf.com starting FAILED (0x8004010F)
Redirect check to starting
Redirect check to (0x80004005)
Srv Record Lookup for riepf.com starting
Srv Record Lookup for riepf.com FAILED (0x8004010E)

I dont know what am doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you testing this from a client inside your domain? If so, is your Active Directory domain also riepf.com?

If you are testing this from outside your domain, have you configured an A record for autodiscover.riepf.com on your DNS servers?

I am testing this from a client machine within my domain. Yes my domain name is riepf.com. I did create an A record on my DNS server for autodiscover.riepf.com which points to the ip of my CAS

Is that the full log from the test email autoconfig? I would expect that if you were running this from a client connected to the domain you would see something alone the lines of "Attempting URL found through SCP" to indicate that you were getting the Internal Autodiscover URL from the Active Directory SCP object.

Its not the full log I save it as a JPEG file but couldn't upload it to this site. I do see the line you are talking about but after that it says starting and then FAILED (0x80072F0C)

If you have an email I can email you full log.

from the client machine are you able to ping autodiscover.reipf.com? and what does nslookup autodiscover.reipf.com tell you?

We got this sorted out. The root of the problem was the Exchange virtual directories in IIS had Client Certificates set to "Accept
