Help, report and forma re locked and will not open or design

I have just spent about a onth creating a very intricate form, and I was trying to possibly put it into a report. I opened up a subform in a new report and told it to use the form in that subreport. I saved it, and now neither the report nor the form will open. Please help, this has taken me forver, it would be a shame to start over

ANother thing: When I try to look at the VBA code for the form a mssg box pops up twice saying, "You canceled the precious operation

1) do you have a backup of your database? if not, you should seriously think of having one from now on, as well as keeping a backup copy of the last 'good' state of the database before wandering into new territory.

2) that being said, copy your database. delete the "form inside the subreport" work you just tried. If I'm reading you right, this will not alter the big form you've been working on for a month, but will only delete your latest adventures.

3) Repair your database: choose TOOLS-DATABASE UTILITIES - COMPACT AND REPAIR DATABASE from the toolbar.

Thanks for the advice, I have learned my lesson and I have made a backup. I immediately just rebuilt my form since all my queries were intact. It took almost all day but It's back up and running. Thank you for the advice though.
