I am running a query and for some reason it is not finding 1 particualr record. ie) search on company name nothing then search on first name "Steve" 6 other records come back but not the one I want.

When I do a filter search on the form in comes back okay

Any suggestions.

Check the criteria in your parameters and the relationship if you have more than one table in there. I have found that the criteria or the something in one table canceling out the other caused the problem. Usually it's a relationship.

I meant to say check criteria in query..

(geez...)

Mary :)

First of all open the table and and make sure the record is in fact there.
If it is there, then examine it closely to make sure there is NO blank space(s) in the company name instead of a Null.
A space is a character to Access.

Ask me how Bar-codes can help you be more productive.

When I run the same enquiry in another query I get the correct results!

Are you joining two tables in your query?
