help quick! subreport data wont show up in footer!

I SWEAR i had this working, now its not. i have a subreport linked to a report using 'sample_id_l'. Nothing appears in the subreport! when i move it from the footer to the header, it works!?!? when i take the links out, it works in the footer! help!

Check the value that you are sending to the subreport. There is probably a difference in the paramters between the header and footer.

how can i check it? the field i'm passing to the subreport is a number, and its named 'sample_id_l'. its the same in the subreport?!?!

and why would it work in the header or details then?

Just place the field you are passing into the header, detail and footer. See if it returns the same value everywhere..

Got it! thanks. the value had changed because it repeated itself in the details section.
