Was using an AMD and now upgrade to new motherboard and CPU. Here's the specs:

Intel P4 2.4 GHZ 533 MHZ
Elitegroup P4S5A SIS Chipster with audio and lan
Running on Windows XP Pro

Is running at 1.8 GHZ. How to I go about fixing it to run at max speed? BIOS? Prayer? =)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't have a calculator handy to check the numbers, but looks like your motherboard is set to the wrong FSB. Somewhere in the BIOS there's an FSB setting which I'm guessing is set to 100MHz where it should be 133MHz instead.

You're right. It was set to 100 MHz but now that it's set to 133...it seems slower. And for some reason, after the Motherboard's CD is installed, the comp seems slower.

Any guesses?
