help: problem after drive cloning

I used MaxBlast 4 Windows to clone a boot partition to a new drive. XP SP2 boots successfully and things seem to work. However, I noticed a couple of problems afterward.

1. All adobe apps needs re-activation

2. Quite a lot icons disappear. For example, all office files

3. Those shortcuts without a file target all have wrong icon.

My questions are:

a. Is there anything else that I shall test?

b. Is there easy way to fix icons?

This may be a known problem with Maxblast software. At least a quick glance at Google implied this to be so.

I realized one thing. Under Folder Option -> File Type, those files have icon associated to some file in windows directory {...}\Installer and they don't seem to exist on copied drive.

I think I will try to copy those files and see what would happen.

This is to answer my own question: once I copied the Installer directory over, the icon problem is fixed.

One more problem: MaxBlast does not copy the permissions properly. Have to reset everything myself.
