Hi Everyone,

I have a small issue.

I have a client with an email list (xxx@xxxx.com.au) which when sent an email to, will forward the email on to ten users.
All emails are sent apart from 2 of them, which have different domain extensions. (xxx@xxx.id.au).

The bounce email I am getting back is...

<xxx@xxxx.id.au> (expanded from <xxx@xxx.com.au>): host
mail2.mail.com said: xxx.xxx.xx.xx Client host rejected:
cannot
find your reverse hostname, [xxx.xxx.xxx.xx] (in reply to RCPT TO
command)

Can anyone shed any light on this problem?
Your help is much appreciated.

Matt.

It usually points to the sending server not having a reverse DNS lookup registered. Lots of places are using filters which check for a reverse DNS record and if none exist reject emails from the server sending the email.
You would need to have the DNS adjusted for the mail server to have a vlid reverse lookup setup.

Yep. A *LOT* of systems will block if the rDNS doesn't exist or is wrong. Have your provider create one, and it's best if it's the same as the MX record (mail.domain.com)...
