I am running a macro that will output the file to excel to a set path and file name. I would like this process to just overright the existing file automatically. However, when my macro gets to this part, it prompts me and says current file will be overwritten, press OK to overright, or not to not overright. Is there a way I can eliminate getting asked this so it just automatically overrights the table? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

If you used VBA instead of macro you'd play with the Dir function and the Kill instruction.

Hope This Helps, PH.

yeah, I don't know VBA, was hoping to do it with just Access. Thanks.

Precisely, Access VBA.

look at the 'setwarnings' command (in macro) or the docmd.setwarnings command in vba
