Hello people

Sometime last week I was downlaoading images and when I rebooted it would put up the "WindowsXP page with the animated blocks then after a bit go blank screen and reboot again.

This continues forever. The only way i can boot is with Safe Mode with networking.

I tried system restore and i have GoBACK but neither helped.

Any Ideas how I might works this.

Thanks

Boot in safe mode and tell us if there are any errors in your eventlogs.

Oh sorry.
The eventlog is a place on your computer where messages about it are stored. There are 3 of them on your computer, called Application, Audit and System.
You can find it by right-clicking on My computer and choosing Manage. In the Computer Management screen you open with that, find Eventlog (or something like that, no english box here to check the right word). Ignore Audit and see what (if any) errors and/or warnings are given in the Audit and System logs. We're especially interested in the event number and the source.
Good luck!

'Sometime last week I was downlaoading images and when I rebooted' - does this mean that something happened while you were downloading which caused a reboot?

Note - you can access event viewer by running eventvwr.msc (from run box).

A repair reinstall might sort your problem -

Thanks for your help

Seems i'm going to have to reinstall windows
