help on messenger with proxy server

i have installed a proxy server on my network but e messenger don´t work

if your proxy server has 'SOCKS server', it easy to configure it to use messenger

If the proxy support UPNP, MSN messenger will all ok. If the proxy support NAT, make sure inner network computer can make a tcp link on port 1863 to internet through the proxy/firewall, then the messenger can send message.

which kind of proxy you use?

if this proxy have cleint like ( Microsoft proxy II, ISA ,wingate )install the proxy client ..and you will find the MSN and working with now problem .
