Hey there ..
i would like to know how you can change the center of a linear gradietn fill

thanks

If you click on the fill preview in the gradient panel (the line with the two pointers) you can add extra points to the gradient (up to 8 in total), once you have added the new points you can drag them around to get the exact effect you want.

goto the fill panel and click just under the
gradient range bar and a new painpot(extra colour)
will appear....(just drag the pot to the center....and
choose a colour...)

and VOILA!!!!

no sorry that was not it ... i want to change the anguel ...

exemple : i have a linear fill ; two points ( right and left ) the left one is white the right one is red .. the fill is to be aplied to a rectangle ... it will apear a liear fill with white to red gradient ...
but i want to change it to became from top to bottom ..
i know it not very clear explanin but ...

thx anyway

i will try to explain it better :
i have a rectangle ; the usual gradient fill is from left to right/ or vice versa .. i want it to be from top to bottom ..
i can do it by aplying the fill and then resize the rectagle and the fill will became like i want it .. however this does no ocour with rounded shapes ...

What i need to know is that is how can we aply the fill using different angels ( like we do in freehand for instance )

thank you just the same
alex

Select the fill, choose the Paint Bucket, click again, (or twice) inside the fill, till you get a circle with a lot of handles. Now you can move, stretch, rotate, the fill.

sorry, forgot to mention, after selecting the fill, select the fill modifier that apears at the bottom of the tool panel. then you will get all the options i mentioned.

Zom .... thank you so much ...
That is exactly what i needed ...
You were a great help .... you should see me jumping on my chair now ....

thanks a lot
alex
