hi,
I'm trying to set up an automatic attendant on a BCM50e,
I get in the element manager and configure it and recorded the greeting but when I dial in, the automatic attendant
doesn't answer, it keeps ringing on the receptions desk.
Is there something I'm missing?

log into callpilot
click on auto attendant-line administration

you have to set the target line to be answered by the AA, and set the greeting table to used.

BCM 200: I have a message that plays when the office is close and then transfer the call to another site that plays the same message. I am looking to remove the greeting in the BCM and just perform the transfer to the remote site. How do I remove the greeting?

I set it to be answered by de AA and set the greeting table
but it still rings on the receptions phone, is there something missing?

is the target line assigend to the receptionists phone as well? if you want all calls to be answered by the AA remove the target line from that phone

you may have to set the number of rings to 0 to get the AA to answer quicker

Also check the Operator setting and make sure its set to ANSWER LINES--YES or tick the BOX
If its set to NO(unticked) then this switches OFF the AA

Confirm which lines the incoming calls are actually ringing on. Just because a button may be labeled "line 1" doesn't mean that is correct. Do a button inquiry on the receptionist's phone and verify the line first.
