Help!!

I have a Windows NT Server box running SQL Server with a working database.
I have a Windows 98 box running SQL Server, able to connect to the NT box. This box is running Office 2000. I installed several service packs and MDAC 2.6 to make it so I could connect to the SQL database through Access.

Now I have a Windows 2000 box. I installed SQL Server, and can see my data on the NT box just fine, but when I go to use it in Access, I get ODBC--Can't connect to "my database" database.

I have done the following:

Installed MDAC 2.6
Added the ODBC source in the ODBC Data Source Administrator--Tests completed successfully

Help....why isn't it working?

Hi Guys..
I have a very different problem here. I have a SQL server running on WINNT machine which is also a domain controller. I have created system DSN on win 2000 machine to connect to SQl server on winnt and I am using WINDOWS NT AUTHENTICATION.
I am using this SYSTEM DSN in Crystal Report to connect to databse. I have this report on web.
When I pull the crystal report...it asks me for USERID pwd...which is weired as I am using windows authetication and I am already logged on this domain.. and Guess what userid/pwd for windows account doesn't work....only SQl server userid pwd work..I have following settings
1)SQl server is set to use windows authntication
2)I am using TCPIP connection for ODBC.
3)IIS is set to use windows simple text authentication...
Please help..ASAP
Thanks..

can anybody help me please?

Hi there
Does anybody know that wy I'am having this error
Please help me

Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed
/nigbas/insanislem2.asp, line 28

I have a slightly different problem

I have an Access 97 Database which I set up (via System DSN) to a SQL Server 2000 db to have a linked table. This is so I can have Word 97 read off the table for Mail Merge, it won't read Sql Server 2000.

Although I set up the DSN with a SQL Server user it keeps bombing out by saying that my LOGON USERID is not correct, which is right, but uit should be using the SQL Server user id. Anyone know whay it is asking this and how to fix it, or, even better, how to get Word 97 to use SQL Server 2000 as a data source.

This error is may be because there is a conflict between the database version and the ODBC driver version. Save the access database to older version and try to run the ASP page again.
