HELP!! new vpn phone hangs at "Discover xxx.xx.xx.xx"

Hello all! I have a new vpn telephone install and the 5610 hangs @ discover 172.16.1.125 which is the ip address of the IP office.
using a Netgear 338 per tektip # 184. Vpn sets up right away & tunnel established. I can ping from the office side to the remote phone. my internal network has the 172.16.x.x the vpn phone has a virtual ip of 192.168.10.10

I have an ip route set up for 192.168.10.0;255.255.255.0;172.16.1.1.

any ideas??

can you ping the phone from the IPO?
Does the phone register correctly with the Netgear (check the status in the Netgear if possible)
I just have to tell you that I have never set one up myself so I am guessing.
I usually have only one IP route in teh system 0.0.0.0 mask o.o.o.o to the default gateway on LAN1

What is the ipaddress of the router?
What is the iproute in the ipoffice?
What is the iprange in the routers "mode config"?

Why i asked this?
I think you have it doen wrong somewhere in these settings.

Example:

IPO has IP: 192.168.10.1
Router has IP: 192.168.10.254
Mode config has range: 172.16.1.1 -> 172.16.1.50

IProute is:
172.16.1.0
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.254
Lan port used

Virtual ip on the phone: 192.168.10.0/24

Do not forget to put in the callserver IP too with 192.168.10.1!!!!!

Westi..> Yes i can ping the remote phone. The telephone does register with the netgear router. I have tried te 0.0.0.0 ;0.0.0.0;gateway and still the same.

What is the iprange in the routers "mode config"? I used option 2 for the vpn ike/vpn ??

The virtual ip for the remote vpn phone is 192.168.10.10

I am running a 406v2 with 5.0 software
license for 1 vpnRemote
