Did you make sure they are all in the same workgroup?

Can you browse to them using network neighborhood or Windows Explore? Make sure you expand the "entire network" icon and see if you can see them in there anywhere.

Also you will need to share the drive or folders you wish to see from the other PC's. To do this right click on the drive or folder then select the sharing tab. Select the option to share it.

Hi,

So the computers are in the same workgroup and subnet. Have you given sharing permissions to each drive or folder you want to share. Alternatively make sure each user is admin or with apropiate permissions and check the firewall settings are configured or disable them to test.

Hi
I did all that and no luck!!, When i click on the couputer it says network path not found

Thanks
For all the help

Try attempting to view the shared folders by using the run command and typing the IP address of the computer and shared drive/folder name instead of neighbourhood

e.g //192.168.0.1/shared name

No passwords and still no luck

Thanks
Brian

What exactly do you mean when you say, "the problem is when i try to shaire files and printers and when go to MSHOMe and see the computers names i get this error network path not found"?

What do you mean by mshome?

Ok how do you get to mshome? Windows Explore? My Computer? Network Neighborhood? Any of those or by another means?

Ok so you click on, "My Network Places" (which is the replacement for network neighborhood on XP), then you click on "Entire Network", then click on "Microsoft Windows Network" then you should see your workgroup which I believe yours is labeled, "home" correct? After clicking on the workgroup you should see the PC names that are on your network and you should also be able to access them. If your doing all that and it still isn't working then I would think its time to start looking at the router. Speaking of which have you ever been able to access other computers through the router you are currently using? Also have you made any changes to your router?

I had the same problem. I ended up giving users names and passwrods for each PC. Can be the same. When I tried to open each PC it asked me for the user name and password and entered that it the required fields and I was able to see the shared files and folders. Without the users name and passwords, each PC had its own owner or administrator and they did not recognize each other. I added the user to each PC.

Blank passwords or no passwords are probably the trouble, did you read those articles I linked to?

I hd a similiar problem recently. My I couldn't get to the internet thru my linksys router. I went to the linksys website. They have a very cool program there that set up the intenet connection for you. It also allowed my pc and laptop to connect correctly (after I shared folders I wanted to access on the pc). Try it, it might help.
