Hello All,

I am trying to create a crosstab query to put on a SUB-form which will display a schedule ('Time' as Row, 'Name' as Column, and Contact as Value. I also has a "date' field which I inted to set criteria. It works fine if i type in a date and run the query.
But I would like the user to type in a date in a text box on the main form and use that value as the criteria for the date in the query. This is where I have the problem. Query gives me an error message when I refer the text bos in criteria field.
Can someone please help!
I thank you in advance for your time

BJ

I think it will work if you define the form field as a paramter for the query in the Query/Parameters menu option (while in the query design window).

Hi JonFer,

THank you for your reply.
I tried your method. But I am not sure how to refer a text box on a form as PArameter value.
My form reference look like this: Forms![Ticket]![ChkDate]
I inserted this in Query Parameters and Data Type as Date/Time
I also insert this on the criteria field in the query. But still get error messages when I run the query.
What I am doing wrong?

Thank you for your time.
BJ

Your error is that you aren't telling anyone what your error messages are. If we know specifically what messages you are getting and your sql view of the query, someone might be able to help.
