Hello,

I made Filemaker Pro database for cash register. I create one for the list of items, one for the sale of product with taxe, one for the sale of product without taxe and one with portal of product with taxe and without taxe.

Now, I need to make a report to print receipt. I don't know how to do it.
I need all items with taxe and all items without taxe on the same receipt.
I did a layout with the both portal, but if on a portal I display 8 lines and I have 9 items sold, when I print the receipt an a thermal printer, the total is correct but I don't see all items.

Thanks for your help.

Regards
Martial

It is virtually impossible to do what you re trying to do, UNLESS you can be certain of an absolute maximum number of items per invoice. In V6, portals can be made to shrink but I'm not sure what happens if the result runs over to more than one page.
If you can specify maximums, then just design both portals with that maximium number of rows and make them sliding up.
Another alternative might be to create a temporary intermediate file with records from taxed and non-taxed files.
Do you really have to have separate files for taxed and non-taxed?

Cheers,
Paul J.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your answer. The solution was to set sliding printing for all items on the layout, field and text items. Like this, everything shrink.
