Help my foxpro 2.6 say Too many files open in Win Me

Whem i run my aplication in foxpro 2.6 under Win Me , fox return that massage : Too many files open "
I try to modify my config.sys ( files =80) but whem i restart my system Config.sys it's empty !!!
How i do ?

Put a FILES = 80 line in your Config.FPW file. This should be in your startup folder.

The CONFIG.FPW file has no option for FILES, and as the FAQ that David provided suggests, the FILES statement in the CONFIG.SYS doesn't work in Windows ME either.

Hi;

I sweated blood on this one: the answer is to add

PerVMFiles=90 to the [386Enh] section of SYSTEM.INI

MS said the .INI files were not used any more... yeah
