Help - Meditech issues

We are experiencing issues when users access Meditech via Citrix on a Thin Cleints. We have Citrix Metaframe XPe 1.0 Feature Release 3 and MaxSpeed X500 Thin Clients. Users report that they sometimes cannot login to Meditech or that once in Meditech the session’s freezes, usually when attempting to view a report. Users also report that sometime when accessing Meditech via a Thin Client they get a diffrent users screen under Meditech.
 
Hi I am guessing that Meditech is an application you use. It sounds as though the applications you mention are Published Applications and problem of users reporting they are seeing another persons session may be because those users client software has not been configured correctly. I.E. they may get a desktop rather than a published application

Can you confirm that the users have not configured an ICA connection rather than connected to an Application Set?

Sessions freezing could be related to IMA service issues on one or more of the servers in your FARM.

Firewall issues preventing access to a newly configured server. i.e. you make a connection to the Browser that instructs the client to connect to a specified server to access the application/desktop. But the specified server is not configured to accept connections.

There is a licence issue with terminal services/citrix.

Without more information its difficult to help.
Check the event logs - always a good place to start.

thanks for the reply, I've been swampped with other issues as well as this one. Meditech is a application used by the lab at out hopsital. We are publishing it as a published application and not a desktop. I've checked sevaral of the thin clients that are having this issues and the only discrepency I see in the client side configration is that some are setup to connect to the servers on TCO + HTTP A and other are configured TCP only. We are not publishing anything via a web page, but use client access only. The odd thing is that this only happens on our Thin Clinet platforms, not on PC's.

We use thin clients as well - I am pretty sure this will be a config issue. This may have stopped working because of a dns change, firewall change, etc. However, I would start checking what address is set up for the default browser server.

I use both relysis and igel terminals and both have to have the correct settings for default browser. Else sometinme they work and others not - I wouold like to confirm if any clients using HTTP + TCP/IP working correctly or any using just TCP/IP?

did anyone find a solution to this? becuae we are haing the same problem
 
we have citrix meditech screens freeze when running on a pc. we have not tested this with an igel yet. but it only happens when its in citrix, not anyother way.
