Thanks to all in advance.

My installer is stumped installing a new 6-port Slim Fiber Expansion Cartridge and Fiber Trunk Module. My system version is 30nCG19 NAT.

The system sees 'module' eight, I believe it is, with the cartridge installed, everything all lights up fine after being powered down for the upgrade. We installed the new line card in the first slot on the left and installed the new co line on line48 but does not get a dail tone but does get a dial tone before we put it into the system just to be sure it is working. We also swapped the line card with another in the system to be sure it wasn't the card and it worked fine. We've also tried the other slot for the Fiber Cartridge and the two other slots for th line card and still nothing.

We don't know if one of two the two components is faulty or if it's a system version issue with the software being MICS 1.0.

Any comments or help is greatly appreciated.

Tcwinont.

lines are 1 thru 4 then 25 thru 28 then 49 thru 52 ...48 is a T1 channel

Hey thanks for the quick reply. I didn't expect anybody to reply at this time of day.

I think we tried 49 like you're saying, can't remember at this point, been a bad day.

I'm not at the office at the moment so I'll check that out tomorrow morning and post my results. But it wouldn't be a system version issue?

I should add this.

For some reason my system changed from 2 digit DN to 3 and as you can guess I had to reconfigure my voice mail system. Would this be normal because of the Fiber Expansion Cartridge?

i dont think you have a version issue and yes tcwinont the expansion card gives you upto 96 more voice ports plus 32 on ksu so it will force a dn length change to 3
