Hello, can anyone help me. I can't even get started. I can't find code that actually works anywhere for excel or word. All I want from Excel is to be able to take data from cells in an already made sheet and have each cell be a variable in an array. From word, I can create a word document but it won't let me add text, because it says that it is being used by another process. Can anybody help, this is very frustrating? Thanks.

QD,

Are you using VB 5 or 6 to code, or are you using the VBA within Excel & Word?

If the latter, please repost your question in forum707.

Well, in all likelyhood, you will need to write that code yourself. In addition, you need a much clearer and much more specific statement of requirements, before you could ever proceed with any degree of success.

I am using Visual Basic 2008. In Excel I have a spreed sheet already made. I want each cell to be a variable in an array that I can use in my program. In Word I have been able to create a new document from Visual Basic, but it won't let me add text to it because it says it is being used by another process. I'm just looking for the syntax to be able to utilize these methods.

I think you might want to post in Forum796.

Hi
I saw your question and I have a excel spreadsheet that did what you your asking. I wrote it some time ago and I'm
out of the loop with the programing that I used then. I no it uses vb that comes with excel. If your still interested I could send you a copy of the program and maybe with it you can find a way to solve your problem. Problem is I don't know how to attach the file to this message.

Mike,

This is not the forum for VBA questions.

Please repost your question in forum707.

It is ALSO impolite to as a question in someone else's thread.

I don't think he did Skip (unless a post has been removed/edited, in which case ignore this post).

Harley,

MikeCt posted a question in QuiltDaddy's thread, (happens to be this one), unrelated to adding clarification or a solution to this thread.

Skip,

Ah right, I thought it might have gone from the way the posts read as I was writing the reply.
